Marvel Studios’ ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’ was released in Bangladesh on September 25, featuring several new scenes and post-credit sequences that offer clues about the upcoming ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. Star Cineplex is screening the special re-release in Bangladesh from September 25.

The special ‘Endgame Encore’ version adds four new scenes and credits sequences, including appearances by Loki, Bruce Banner and Doctor Doom. The new material also hints at the collapse of the multiverse and the possible arrival of the X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Loki arrives at Steve Rogers’ door

The original ‘Endgame’ ended with Steve Rogers travelling back in time to reunite with Peggy Carter. In the new version, their quiet moment is interrupted when Loki arrives at their door in his TVA outfit.

Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, now known as the God of Stories, offers to help Steve and Peggy.

The scene raises questions about whether Steve’s decision to remain in the past created a branch timeline that could have contributed to the multiverse crisis. It also raises the possibility that Steve and Peggy may have to leave their timeline before the events of ‘Doomsday’.

The new scene may also connect to the idea presented in ‘Doomsday’ promotional material that some characters are living “stolen lives”.

Doctor Doom captures Bruce Banner

A new mid-credits scene focuses on Bruce Banner, played by Mark Ruffalo, and appears to confirm his involvement in ‘Doomsday’.

Following his Hulk transformation in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, Banner is shown recording a video from a military facility located deep underground. He says he has been working on a gamma radiation suppressor to keep the Hulk under control.

However, the facility’s lights begin to flicker and the cameras malfunction. Doctor Doom then appears and tells Banner, “Dr Banner, I’ve come to collect you.”

Doom subsequently takes Banner away, leaving glowing Latverian symbols behind.

The scene follows another major development involving Doctor Doom. In the post-credit scene of ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’, Doom appears to target Reed Richards and Sue Storm’s son, Franklin Richards.

The two scenes raise questions about why Doom is collecting powerful individuals and whether he plans to use their abilities or knowledge for a larger purpose in ‘Doomsday’.

A new meaning to Tony Stark’s final scene

The final sound heard in the original ‘Endgame’ was the familiar hammering associated with Tony Stark’s creation of his first Iron Man suit.

In ‘Endgame Encore’, those sounds are used differently. The hammer strikes are accompanied by images of Robert Downey Jr.’s Victor Von Doom forging his Doctor Doom mask.

The sequence creates a visual connection between Stark and Doom, who are both played by Downey.

It also recalls Downey’s previous line at Comic-Con: “New mask, same task.”

The new sequence has prompted questions about whether Doom could somehow be connected to an alternate version of Stark, although the film does not confirm such a theory.

TVA scene shows the multiverse collapsing

The post-credit sequence takes viewers back to the Time Variance Authority (TVA).

Miss Minutes reminds TVA employees about the importance of keeping individuals in their own universes. Casey then informs Mobius that Earth-10005, the universe associated with Fox’s X-Men films, and Earth-1127 are on a collision course.

The situation initially appears to be an anomaly, but it quickly escalates as the two Earths begin launching missiles at each other.

More reports then arrive as additional universes begin colliding. The number rises from three to hundreds, thousands and eventually thousands more.

Among the universes shown as destroyed are Eric Bana’s Hulk universe (Earth-400083), the 2015 ‘Fantastic Four’ universe (Earth-15886) and Captain Carter’s ‘What If...?’ universe (Earth-82111).

Ke Huy Quan’s Ouroboros sums up the situation by saying that the multiverse is collapsing.

The destruction of the X-Men universe could potentially explain how characters from that universe enter the MCU’s main timeline. Promotional material for ‘Doomsday’ has also hinted at conflict involving mutants and the Avengers, while Doctor Doom has been associated with anti-mutant technology.

With multiple universes colliding and the multiverse facing collapse, ‘Endgame Encore’ sets up several storylines for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, which is scheduled to arrive in December.
