‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’, ‘Mutiny’ hit Star Cineplex today

Star Cineplex is screening two Hollywood films in Bangladesh today (September 25): Marvel Studios’ ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’ and Jason Statham-starrer action thriller ‘Mutiny’.
‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’ is a special re-release of the 2019 blockbuster, featuring around four minutes of additional footage, a new introduction and an extra ending. The extended version has a runtime of 185 minutes.
The re-release comes ahead of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, scheduled for release in December. It gives fans an opportunity to revisit the events of ‘Endgame’ and explore possible links to the next chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The original film marked the conclusion of a major phase of the MCU and featured key moments including Tony Stark’s sacrifice, Natasha Romanoff’s death, Steve Rogers’ farewell and Captain America wielding Mjolnir.
The additional footage has generated interest among fans over its possible connection to ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. The trailer reportedly garnered more than 77 million views within its first 24 hours.
Marvel has also prepared a list of 15 films and series for audiences looking to revisit important MCU stories before watching ‘Avengers: Doomsday’.
Meanwhile, ‘Mutiny’ stars Jason Statham as Cole Reed, a former New York police officer and special forces operative who later works as a private security professional.
Directed by Jean-François Richet, the film follows Reed after his wealthy employer is murdered in front of him. He is framed for the killing and forced to go on the run while trying to uncover the real culprit.
His investigation leads him aboard a cargo ship, where he discovers that the murder is connected to a wider international conspiracy. Surrounded by mercenaries and criminals, Reed must rely on his training and experience to survive.
Annabelle Wallis, Roland Møller, Adrian Lester, Jason Wong and Arnas Fedaravičius also feature in the cast.
Set largely aboard a cargo vessel, ‘Mutiny’ combines hand-to-hand combat, gunfights, chases and explosions in its fast-paced thriller narrative.
