Light rain likely in Dhaka tonight

Light rain may occur in Dhaka and adjoining areas tonight, while the sky may remain partly cloudy to temporarily cloudy, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

The forecast, issued for Dhaka and neighbouring areas from 7:00 PM on Friday for the following six hours, said winds may blow from the south and southeast at 10-15 kilometres per hour.

Nighttime temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged.

At 6:00 PM on Friday, Dhaka recorded a temperature of 29.4°C, with 74 per cent humidity. The day's highest temperature was 32.8°C, while the lowest was 25°C.

Dhaka received 1mm of rainfall in the previous six hours.

The sun is scheduled to rise at 5:48 AM and set at 5:51 PM on Saturday.
