Bus crash kills mother daughter on Dhaka-Aricha highway

A 26-year-old woman and her 10-month-old daughter were killed after a Golden Line bus hit their motorcycle on the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Shibalaya, Manikganj, on Saturday (September 26).

The deceased were identified as Sonia, 26, and her daughter Jannat. The accident occurred around 11:45AM near the Tepara bus stand when the bus allegedly entered the wrong lane and rammed their motorcycle.

Sonia died after being taken to Shibalaya Upazila Health Complex, while Jannat died during treatment. Police seized the bus from Uthali, but its driver and helper fled. Legal proceedings are underway.
