A fire broke out at a high-rise building in the capital’s Banani area on Saturday (September 26) afternoon.

The fire broke out around 5:30PM at Ahmed Tower, located next to FR Tower in Banani. The two units of Fire Service and Civil Defence are currently working to bring the blaze under control.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known. No casualties had been reported in the incident at the time of filing the report.
