10 more die of measles, dengue

Ten more people died of measles-related symptoms and dengue across the country in the 24 hours from 8am Tuesday to 8am Wednesday.

During the same period, 1,349 people were newly diagnosed with suspected or confirmed measles. In addition, 1,948 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) provided the information in separate press releases issued by its control room on Wednesday.

According to the measles-related release, four people died with measles symptoms in the past 24 hours. From March 15 to September 30, a total of 1,007 people have died with measles symptoms.

No one died from confirmed measles in the past 24 hours. However, 101 people have died from confirmed measles between March 15 and the morning of September 30.

A total of 1,221 people were identified with measles symptoms in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of people identified with measles symptoms between March 15 and the morning of September 30 to 191,731.
