Edu institutions set for 10-day Puja break

Educational institutions are set to observe a 10-day break for Durga Puja, with the holiday period covering October 16 to 25 for schools when scheduled holidays and weekly holidays are combined.

Government and non-government secondary and lower-secondary schools will remain closed from October 18 to 22 for Durga Puja. Including the weekly holidays on October 16-17 and October 23-24, the break will run for 10 consecutive days.

Colleges will have a 10-day holiday from October 18 to 29, excluding weekly holidays, while the inclusion of weekly holidays could extend the break to 16 days.

Madrasa teachers and students will have a three-day holiday from October 20 to 22. Universities, meanwhile, will follow their respective academic calendars as autonomous institutions, so their schedules may vary.
