Online applications for the 51st Special Civil Services (BCS) examination officially open at 10:00 AM on Thursday (October 1), aiming to recruit 5,000 doctors into the government health cadre.
Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) official portal until 6:00 PM on October 25. The application fee has been fixed at Tk 200.
According to the notification signed by PSC Controller of Examinations Masuma Afrin, candidates who successfully obtain a User ID by 6:00 PM on October 25 will be allowed a 72-hour window—until 6:00 PM on October 28—to complete their fee payment.
The commission explicitly advised candidates against submitting multiple application forms.
The recruitment drive aims to fill 4,700 posts for Assistant Surgeons and 300 posts for Assistant Dental Surgeons under the BCS Health Cadre. Educational qualifications require an MBBS or equivalent degree for Assistant Surgeons, and a BDS or equivalent degree for Assistant Dental Surgeons.
To qualify, candidates must be Bangladeshi citizens aged between 21 and 32 years as of September 1, 2026. The notification specifies that any candidate married to, or pledged to marry, a foreign national without prior government authorization will be deemed ineligible.
