Floating shops evicted from Mirpur-10 metro station

Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has evicted floating shops from the ground floor of Mirpur-10 metro station and seized various shop materials during the drive on Wednesday.

A mobile court led by DMTCL Executive Magistrate Md Ahsan Ullah Sharifi conducted the operation at the station from 11AM to 2:30PM.

During the drive, the illegal vendors were strictly instructed not to set up shops again at the metro station or nearby areas. They were also warned against repeating such activities.

The vendors were further instructed to keep the metro station premises clean.

Representatives of Dhaka North City Corporation, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), MRT Police and DMTCL provided necessary assistance during the mobile court operation.

DMTCL said such drives will continue to ensure uninterrupted movement of passengers and keep the entry and exit routes of metro stations free from encroachment.
