Nisho-Mehazabien set for big-screen debut

Popular television actors Afran Nisho and Mehazabien Chowdhury are set to make their big-screen debut together with the film 'Pulasirat', directed by Vicky Zahed.

The film will mark the first theatrical appearance of the popular on-screen pair, while it will also be Vicky Zahed’s directorial debut in cinema. The film’s title was registered in January this year, but Nisho and Mehazabien’s involvement had not been officially revealed.

A photo posted on producer Shahriar Shakil’s social media account on Monday (October 5) renewed interest in the film. The photo featured Shakil alongside Nisho and Mehazabien, prompting speculation about their involvement in 'Pulasirat'.

According to a source close to the production, pre-production work is now nearing completion. The team plans to begin shooting in early January and complete the filming in about a month.

Post-production is scheduled to be completed in February. If everything proceeds as planned, 'Pulasirat' may be released during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr holidays in March, potentially marking Nisho and Mehazabien’s first appearance together on the big screen.

The film will also mark a new chapter in Vicky Zahed’s career. Known for his distinctive style in television dramas and web content, Zahed is making his feature-film directorial debut with 'Pulasirat'.

The film is being produced by SVF Alpha-i Entertainment Limited, which has recently released several notable films.
