CMP reshuffles OCs in 3 stations

According to a transfer order signed by CMP Commissioner Hasan Md Shawkat Ali on Wednesday afternoon (October 7), new OCs have been assigned to two stations. The current OC of Khulshi Police Station has been transferred to the City Special Branch (CTSB).

Under the new order, Chawkbazar Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Md Naser Hossain has been posted as the OC of Akbar Shah Police Station. Akbar Shah Police Station's current OC, Md Kamruzzaman, has been transferred to serve as the OC of Khulshi Police Station.

Meanwhile, Khulshi Police Station OC Md Abdur Rahim has been transferred to CTSB. The order states that the transfers take immediate effect in the public interest.

Md Abdur Rahim's transfer comes roughly one month and 10 days after he assumed charge as OC of Khulshi Police Station.

The move follows recent discussions and criticism surrounding a police operation attempting to arrest controversial local figure Waqil Hossain, alias 'Boga', which drew public scrutiny over Khulshi Police Station's role.
