Renowned actor Manoj Bajpayee, widely praised for his acting prowess and acclaimed performances, has expressed exhaustion over repeatedly discussing his childhood, past financial hardships, and personal struggles in media interviews.
Speaking in a recent podcast, the actor revealed that he has stopped participating in podcasts altogether, citing fatigue from answering identical queries regarding his early life and struggles.
"I am tired of answering the same questions about the old chapters of my life. That is why I have stopped appearing on podcasts and no longer wish to sit for such interviews. At one point, I even resented my own childhood—wondering why I was born in a village and why my struggle had to be so long," Bajpayee said.
Reflecting on the common belief that life experiences offer valuable lessons, the actor offered a contrasting perspective. "People might think I learned a lot from these experiences, but that is not the case. I wished I had been born in Delhi; had that been the case, my struggle would have been limited to reaching Mumbai," he stated.
Born into a farming family in a small village in Bihar, Bajpayee spent his childhood amid severe financial distress before undergoing a prolonged period of struggle to establish his career in the film industry.
Acknowledging that while his journey is often portrayed as an inspirational tale for others, Bajpayee emphasized that enduring such hardship firsthand is extremely distressing.
"Who actually wants a life like that? My journey might inspire people from the outside, but only the person walking that path understands how difficult it truly is. Let someone try living without money for just five days, and all fascination with such struggles will fade," he remarked.
