Trial of anti-Liberation War forces demanded in Pirojpur District

PIROJPUR, Oct 31: The trial and punishment of anti-Liberation War forces was demanded in a protest meeting organised by the district’s freedom fighters and Muktidoddha Projanma at the old Muktijoddha Sangsad building on Saturday morning.

Valiant freedom fighter (FF) Obaidul Kabir Badal chaired the meeting while former district commander valiant FF Fazlul Hauqe Sentu conducted the event.

Speakers said, FF Manik Pashari was a gazetted freedom fighter and his role during liberation war was significant. Jamaat-Shibir and the marked anti-liberation forces and its supporters made obstacles in providing guard of honour to him at his family graveyard in Chitalia Village of Pirojpur Sadar Upazila on October 24 last. They demanded their exemplary punishment.  

Among others, valiant FFs Nurdida Khaled Robi, Abdus Salam Baten, Samir Kumar Das Bachhu, Feroz Rabbani, Mirza Jahirul Haque, Abdul Mannan Dharan and Convener of Muktijoddha Projanmo Gazi Kamruzzaman Shuvo spoke on the occasion.
