Jamaat holds discussion with Islamic parties in Rajbari

RAJBARI, Feb 4: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami on Wednesday held a discussion meeting with district Ulema and representatives of 11 allied Islamic parties in the conference hall of Rajbari Sadar Upazila Model Mosque.

The meeting was chaired by Maulana Syed Ahmed, Executive Council Member of Jamaat-e-Islami Rajbari district. Speakers included Maulana Md. Ilias Ali Molla, President of Khalafat Majlish Rajbari branch; former Imam Committee president Maulana Abdul Halim; Maulana Abul Arshad Md. Sirajum Munir; Principal Maulana Awabullah Ibrahim of Pangsha Siddiquia Kamil Madrasa; Md. Akhtaruzzaman, President of the central committee of Bangladesh Workers Welfare Federation; and Md. Nurul Islam, Jamaat-e-Islami's nominated parliamentary candidate and district Ameer.

Other Islamic movements and prominent local Ulema also attended the meeting.
Speakers stressed that the upcoming 13th national parliamentary election is crucial. They said the success of the 11 allied Islamic parties would be a victory for the Ulema, adding that forming an Islamic government would ensure justice, peace, and the protection of human rights in the country.

They urged the participants to work sincerely and support Jamaat-e-Islami candidates, emphasising that under an Islamic government there would be no extortion, oppression, or violence. Md. Nurul Islam reaffirmed the party's commitment to good governance and Islamic principles if elected.

The meeting concluded with a pledge to mobilize support across the district and actively participate in the upcoming elections.
