Laxmipur-4: Jamaat candidate Hafiz unveils election manifesto

LAXMIPUR, Feb 7: Jamaat-e-Islami's candidate for Laxmipur-4 (Ramgati-Kamalnagar), AR Hafiz Ullah, officially unveiled his election manifesto on Saturday at a Chinese restaurant in Hajirhat, Kamalnagar. 

The announcement was made in the presence of party leaders and local supporters.

The manifesto, presented in written form, outlines 62 key points across 17 sections, addressing local issues and development priorities. 

Key proposals include construction of embankments to prevent river erosion, dredging of the Bhulua River, disaster management, vocational training and employment generation, improved electricity and fire services, anti-corruption measures, social reform, health and women's education, agricultural expansion, basic services, educational and institutional infrastructure development, transport and infrastructure improvement, environmental initiatives, market reform, promotion of religious institutions and communal harmony, and sports development.

The event was attended by Laxmipur-4 constituency director Professor Mizanur Rahman, Member Secretary Maulana Humayun Kabir, former Kamalnagar Upazila Amir Dr Nur Uddin Mahmud, Upazila Ameer Abul Khayer, Ramgati Pourashava Ameer Maulana Abul Khayer, and Ramgati Upazila Ameer Maulana Abdur Rahim, among others.

The manifesto emphasizes holistic local development, social justice, and community welfare, highlighting the candidate's commitment to addressing pressing issues and ensuring sustainable growth in Laxmipur-4.
