State Minister for Land Barrister Kayser Kamal expressed dissatisfaction after finding a government land office closed during official hours.
The minister conducted a surprise visit to a land office in Narayanganj's Siddhirganj on Wednesday morning.
The office, located in ward no. 5 under the Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC), was scheduled to open at 9AM.
On the spot, it was observed that the minister arrived five minutes before the official opening time but found the office locked, with no officials or staff members present.
After waiting for nearly 30 minutes, an individual arrived and unlocked the office, allowing the minister to enter.
However, no officers had reported to duty even by then.

While speaking to journalists, the state minister said the office had been selected randomly for inspection.
''We are waiting at the land office. Once the officials arrive, we will review their documents, assess the quality of services, and examine any pending work.''
He added, it was already 9:10AM and no officers had arrived, despite the office being scheduled to open at 9AM.
