Diesel found in rooftop water tank in Noakhali, 750 litres seized

NOAKHALI, Apr 4:  The administration has seized 750 litres of diesel illegally stored in the rooftop water tank of a residential house in Charjabbar Union under Subarnachar Upazila of  Noakhali. The individual concerned was also fined in this incident.

Acting on a tip-off late on Thursday night, the Executive Magistrate and Subarnachar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), Akib Osman, conducted the raid. During the operation, evidence was found of a large quantity of diesel stored in the rooftop water tank of the house of Basir Sareng, also known as Bosu Serang.

UNO Akib Osman said that the seized 750 litres of diesel were confiscated and immediately sold at depot price through an auction to a licensed trader at Char Hassan Bhuiyan's Haat Bazar.
