Trader found dead at Singra

SINGRA, NATORE, May 5: Police have recovered a fish trader's throat-slit body from his bedroom in Bishnapur Village of Italy Union in Singra Upazila of the district on Monday morning. 

The deceased Rafiqul Islam alias Rubel, 45, was the son of late Keramat Ali of the village. 

Meanwhile, the police have arrested the deceased's wife Shiuli Begum and son Saifuddin Siddique alias Royal, who were involved in the murder. Later, according to their information, the police recovered a sharp weapon used in the murder and the blood-stained clothes of the arrestees from the pond in front of the house. 

Officer-in-Charge of Singra Police Station Rafiqul Islam said that the deceased used to take marijuana regularly and misbehave with his wife and son. The mother and son planned to murder him a week ago. The son killed the sleeping father with a sharp knife. Later, they staged a drama, but they were forced to confess everything during the police investigation.
