EWU welcomes summer 2026 freshers

East West University on Wednesday organised an orientation programme for around 2,200 newly admitted students for Summer Semester 2026 at its Aftabnagar campus in Dhaka.

The programme aimed to introduce the freshers to the university’s academic environment, code of conduct, scholarship opportunities and student support facilities, while offering guidance on their upcoming academic journey.

The event was attended by Mohammed Farashuddin, chairperson of the Board of Trustees of EWU and former governor of Bangladesh Bank, along with EWU Vice Chancellor Shams Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor Ashik Mosaddik, Treasurer Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, deans of various faculties, department chairpersons, faculty members and students.

Successful alumni and industry leaders also joined the orientation sessions to share their professional experiences and motivate the new students toward academic and career excellence.

During the programme, speakers encouraged students to uphold the university’s values and ethical standards throughout their academic lives. They also stressed the importance of developing leadership qualities, communication skills and a mindset of continuous learning to thrive in a competitive and technology driven world while contributing positively to society.
