BSF pushes back 10 thru Mymensingh border

Mymensing, May 16: India's Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday pushed 10 Bangladeshi nationals back into the country through the Haluaghat border in Mymensingh after detaining them for allegedly entering India illegally without valid documents, official sources said.

A case was filed by BGB against them with Haluaghat Police Station (PS).

The handover took place at noon through a flag meeting between BGB and BSF at Main Pillar-1120 in Dhopajhuri border area in the pazila. The individuals were transferred to the Telikhali BGB camp.

According to the case statement, the detainees are residents of different areas of Godagari upazila in Rajshahi. They allegedly entered India illegally without passports or valid documents. They were detained by Meghalaya Police.

 Later, they were sent back to Bangladesh through coordination between the border forces. 

The case was filed by BGB Naib Subedar Mizanur Rahman -stationed at the Telikhali BOP under E-Company of Mymensingh Battalion (39 BGB).

Haluaghat PS Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ferdous Alam confirmed the matter. The detainees were sent to court, PS OC added.
