The press release further stated that on May 30, the Health Adviser and other senior officials visited the hospital. After they left, a large number of journalists attempted to enter the hospital. Considering the interests and privacy of patients receiving treatment, the hospital authorities tried to discourage journalists from entering the premises.
During a conversation between hospital staff and journalists, one journalist referred to the hospital’s cleaning staff as 'sweepers,' which the workers perceived as disrespectful and insulting. Feeling offended, they became agitated and subsequently requested that the journalists leave the hospital.
Senior hospital officials who were present at the time attempted to calm the staff and bring the situation under control.
