Tree plantation begins at Birol

BIROL, DINAJPUR, July 9: The Department of Youth Development has started a tree planting and sapling distribution programme among various educational institutions and organisations in Birol Upazila of the district.

On behalf of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Rezaul Islam, Upazila Youth Development Officer Mahfuzar Rahman Chowdhury inaugurated the programme in collaboration with Snigdha Youth Women Society on the Upazila Parishad premises on Wednesday.

Snigdha Youth Women Society President Mahbuba Akhter Bithi moderated the programme. Birol Government Pilot Model High School Assistant Head Teacher Atiur Rahman, Birol Adarsha High School Head Teacher (Acting) Anisuzzaman Milon, Birol Press Club President Atiur Rahman, Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Kalyan Front Upazila Unit Convener Dinesh Chandra Roy and leaders of various youth organisations of the upazila were present at the programme.
