Local warning signal number 3 at seaports

A new low pressure area has formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjacent north Odisha-West Bengal coastal areas. Due to its influence, gale force winds may blow over the seaports, north Bay of Bengal and coastal areas of Bangladesh.

For this reason, the seaports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been asked to display local warning signal number 3. 
 
In addition, all fishing boats and trawlers in the northern Bay of Bengal have been asked to approach the coast with caution.
