KU to observe Mugdha’s second martyrdom anniv

KHULNA, July 17: Khulna University (KU) has taken a day-long programme to observe the second martyrdom anniversary of Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mugdha, a student of the university’s 2019 batch, who was killed during the 2024 July-August Movement.

According to a KU press release, the programmes will begin at 9 am on July 18 with a photo exhibition on the July Movement at the Odommo Bangla Square. 

A tree plantation programme will be held on the Odommo Bangla premises at 9:30 am, followed by a discussion titled “From the July Revolution to a New Democratic Bangladesh” at 10 am at the Journalist Liaquat Ali Auditorium.

A special prayer will also be offered after Maghrib prayers at the university’s central mosque.
