Three more people have died of dengue across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, while 580 new patients were admitted to hospitals during the same period.
The figures were released in a statement issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Monday.
According to the statement, of the newly hospitalized patients between 8:00 am Sunday and 8:00 am Monday, 81 were admitted in Barishal Division, 79 in Chattogram Division, 262 in Dhaka Division, 67 in Khulna Division, 36 in Mymensingh Division, 22 in Rajshahi Division, 31 in Rangpur Division, and two in Sylhet Division.
So far this year, a total of 16,684 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country.
