BNP collects 2 nomination papers for Presidential election

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has collected two nomination papers from the office of the returning officer of the Election Commission for the presidential election.

Chief Whip of the Jatiya Sangsad Nurul Islam Moni and Ruhul Kabir Rizvi collected the nomination papers on Sunday (August 9) from the office of the Chief Election Officer at the Election Building in Agargaon, Dhaka.

Earlier, the Election Commission (EC) announced the schedule for the presidential election last Thursday. According to the schedule, August 13 has been set as the date for submission of nomination papers, while voting will be held on August 20.
