RANGAMATI, Aug 10: Lakers Public School and College in Rangamati has emerged as the top-performing institution among educational institutions in the three hill districts in this year’s SSC examinations.

All 161 students from the institution who appeared in the SSC examinations passed, giving it a 100 per cent pass rate. Of them, 59 secured GPA-5, meaning around 36.64 per cent of the candidates achieved the highest grade.

The institution also secured sixth place among educational institutions under the Chattogram Education Board.

The results sparked celebrations among teachers, students and guardians on the school campus. Students congratulated one another, while teachers and the principal greeted the successful students with sweets.

A comparison of results from educational institutions in the three hill districts shows that Khagrachhari Cantonment Public School and College recorded a 96.43 per cent pass rate, while Bandarban Cantonment Public School and College achieved a 94.30 per cent pass rate. Lakers, in contrast, achieved a 100 per cent pass rate.

Principal Major Mohammad Shariful Islam said ranking first among the three hill districts and sixth under the Chattogram Education Board was a matter of pride for the institution.

“This achievement reflects the hard work of our students, the sincerity of our teachers and the support of guardians,” he said.

He added that the institution would continue working to achieve better results while helping students become responsible and capable citizens.

Following the publication of the results, the campus turned festive, with students, teachers and guardians celebrating the achievement.

The institution’s 100 per cent pass rate, 59 GPA-5 holders and sixth-place ranking under the Chattogram Education Board have further strengthened Lakers Public School and College’s position among the leading educational institutions in the region.
