Community policing meet held at Kawkhali

KAWKHALI, PIROJPUR, Aug 10: The Kawkhali Police Station (PS) organised a community policing meeting at the meeting room of the PS on Sunday to prevent drugs, extortion, terrorism, child marriage, eve-teasing, cybercrime and juvenile gangs.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kawkhali PS Md Anwar Hossain chaired the meeting while Pirojpur Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Nasrin Jahan was present as the chief guest.

Upazila BNP President and former upazila chairman SM Ahsan Kabir, General Secretary HM Deen Mohammad, Upazila Jamaat Secretary Humayun Kabir, Upazila BNP leader Shafiul Azam Dulal and Upazila President of Islami Andolan Bangladesh Ali Hossain Hawlader, OC (Investigation) of the PS Ebad Ali Molla, among others, spoke at the meeting.

The speakers at the meeting said that the police's sole efforts are not enough to eradicate drugs, cybercrime, violence against women, child marriage, eve-teasing, terrorism and teenage gangs from the society.
