Adam Driver, Sadie Sink join ensemble cast for MCU 'X-Men'

Actor Adam Driver is set to debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as the iconic super-villain and mad scientist Nathaniel Essex, also known as Mister Sinister, in the upcoming ‘X-Men’ reboot.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige officially announced the ensemble cast at Disney’s D23 convention in Anaheim, California.

Alongside Driver, Inde Navarette will portray Rogue, while Driver’s ‘Girls’ co-star Christopher Abbott has been cast as Professor X. Maya Boyd will step into the role of Storm/Ororo Monroe.

The cast also features Kit Connor as Scott Summers/Cyclops, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, and Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, following her appearance in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day.’

Driver, whose involvement in the reboot was long rumored, teased the audience by suggesting he might play Magneto before confirming his role as Mister Sinister. He shared that he had been in talks with Feige to find the ideal MCU entry point.

Feige noted that many cast members met for the first time backstage shortly before taking the stage.

The movie is scheduled for theatrical release in May 2028.
