Three more people died with measles symptoms in the past 24 hours, raising the total deaths from measles and its symptoms to 928 since March 15, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The DGHS said in its measles report on Friday that 940 new patients with measles or measles symptoms were admitted to hospitals in the past 24 hours. Of them, 64 were confirmed measles cases, while 876 had measles symptoms.
Of the 928 deaths recorded since March 15, 829 were people with measles symptoms and 99 were confirmed measles cases.
According to DGHS data, 147,591 suspected measles cases have been reported nationwide since March 15. So far, measles has been confirmed in 18,208 patients.
