Anti-drug rally held at Kaptai

KAPTAI, RANGAMATI, Aug 23: The Kaptai Police Station (PS) held an anti-drug rally and gathering in Wards 4 and 5 of Chandraghona Union in Kaptai Upazila of the district on Sunday morning.

The rally, led by Additional Superintendent of Police (Kaptai Circle) Jahedul Islam, PPM, and Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kaptai PS Sheikh Md Mahmudul Hasan Rubel, ended at the cinema hall area after parading the main roads. 

The chief guest at the rally, ASP Jahedul Islam, PPM, said that the police are taking a strict stand against drugs. He said that cooperation of the common people is needed along with law enforcement agencies to eradicate drugs. 

Kaptai PS OC Sheikh Md Mahmudul Hasan Rubel and former Upazila Parishad chairman Dildar Hossain spoke.

Karnaphuli Paper Mills Limited officer Asif Mainuddin, administrative officer Nurul Alam, CBA representative Md Musa (Master Operator), Sumon Das, Champakuri Khelaghar General Secretary Joynal Abedin, Rahmat Ullah Manu and others were present at that time.
