Four persons, including a patient and ambulance driver, got injured in head-on collision between an ambulance and a passenger bus on the Dhaka-Barisal highway in Bhanga on Monday afternoon.
The collision took place at about 1:30 PM near East Sadaradi Bus Stand. Patient Shihab Hossain, 25 years old, and ambulance driver Mobarak Hossain, 45 years old, were badly injured and taken to Faridpur Medical College Hospital. The grandparents of Shihab, Shah Alam, 74 years old, and Rowshonara Begum, 65 years old, were admitted to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex.
The four were heading for their hometown Pirojpur after Shihab received treatment in NITOR hospital in Dhaka when their ambulance got hit by a Dhaka bound Dashmina Paribahan bus.
The bus was seized along with the damaged ambulance and the bus driver went away.
