APBn seizes one-shotter gun at camp-16

A man was apprehended for carrying one-shooter gun in a crackdown conducted at Rohingya Camp-16 in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday (August 25) night.

The arrested person was identified as Mohammad Salam, 31, who resides in Block H-7 of Camp-15.

The Armed Police Battalion (APBn) carried out the operation at a residential house in Block A-6 of Camp-16 at 11 PM according to information. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Superintendent of Police Mohammad Abdul Bached.

According to sources from 8 APBn, Salam was apprehended during the operation and one-shooter gun was confiscated from him.

Commander Riaz Uddin Ahmed of 8 APBn informed about the incident and said that the accused was handed over to Ukhiya Police Station.
