
Musician Emon Chowdhury has captivated listeners with a sarod rendition of the popular Nazrul Sangeet Touhideri Murshid Amar Mohammad-er Naam on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
Emon shared the special instrumental performance on Facebook on Tuesday night (August 25). Rather than singing the song, he performed it on the sarod, creating a distinctive musical rendition that has drawn widespread appreciation.
The video has already surpassed 121,000 views, with hundreds of comments and shares. Listeners praised Emon’s interpretation, with one commenting, “My heart feels at peace, brother.” Another wrote, “Wonderful. East, West and Asia have become one.”
Others described Emon as “the best” and praised the emotional impact of the performance.
Emon began his professional music career with the band Chirkutt and remained with the group until 2023. He later formed the musical group Bengal Symphony, with which he continues to perform.
Alongside his band work, Emon is also active as a solo musician and music director for films. Through his diverse musical projects, he continues to establish himself as one of the country’s notable contemporary musicians.
