Two persons were found dead in separate incidents in Birol Upazila of Dinajpur District and Dhobaura Upazila of Mymensingh District on Wednesday.
BIROL, DINAJPUR: The body of a madrasa student was recovered from the pond of Mangalpur Alim Madrasa in Birol Upazila of the district on Wednesday afternoon. The exact cause of death could not be immediately determined.
Iftekhar Ali Dinar, 11, son of Anisur Rahman of Gobindapur Meherbagh (Memberpara) Village under No. 3 Dhamair Union of the upazila, was a class five student at Mangalpur Alim Madrasa.
As usual, he went to the madrasa in the morning to attend his classes. In the afternoon, his family received the news that his body had been recovered from the madrasa pond.
At the time this report was being written, the grieving family members were trying to determine the exact cause of his death, while the subsequent legal procedures were underway.
DHOBAURA, MYMENSINGH: Police have recovered the body of a farmer from a paddy field next to the house of Shahidul Islam in Uttar Langaljora Village of Gamaritola Union No. 2 in Dhobaura Upazila of the district early Wednesday.
The deceased Nazrul Islam, 55, was a resident of Dakkhin Langaljora Village and the brother of current UP Member Fazlul Haque.
According to police and local sources, the deceased has injury marks on his head. Initially, it is believed that miscreants killed him by hitting him on the head and then left his body in the paddy field.
Dhobaura Police Station has detained a suspect for questioning in this incident.
