Former army member killed in Kushtia accident

A former army member, Khandakar Ehsan Habib, 60, was killed in a road accident on Tuesday (September 22) afternoon in Daulatpur, Kushtia.
The incident occurred on the road in front of the Ansar-VDP Bank, adjacent to Daulatpur Degree College.
The deceased, was the son of the late Khandakar Hasmat Ali from Hakimpur village in Daulatpur Sadar Union.
According to local sources, Ehsan Habib was traveling towards Daulatpur Bazar on a motorcycle Tuesday afternoon. On the way, near the Ansar-VDP Bank by Daulatpur Degree College, an illegal 'shallow-engine' powered steering trolley—approaching from behind—collided with his motorcycle. He fell and died at the scene.
Khaledur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Daulatpur Police Station, confirmed the death of the former army member in the road accident.
A case has been filed at Daulatpur Police Station regarding the incident.
