19 IU graduates recommended for Assistant Judge posts

Nineteen students from the Law Faculty at Islamic University (IU) have been recommended for appointment as Civil Judges in the 18th Bangladesh Judicial Service (BJS) examination.

The Controller of Examinations at the Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission (BJSC) Secretariat published the final results on Wednesday (September 23), provisionally nominating 200 candidates nationwide.

The BJSC notification stated that 200 provisionally passed candidates were recommended in order of merit, following applicable quota rules for entry-level Civil Judge positions. The commission warned that nominations will be cancelled if candidates provide false information, conceal facts, lack required qualifications, or show application discrepancies.

Dates and venues for candidate medical examinations will be announced later via newspapers, notice boards, and the official website. Nominations will also be revoked if a candidate is declared unfit or receives an adverse police verification report.

Prof Dr Halima Khatun, Chairman of the Law Department, commended the candidates' achievements and expressed hope that the department will maintain its success rate by continuing to strengthen foundational guidance for future judicial aspirants.
