Two killed in motorcycle-easy-bike collision

Two people were killed and two others injured after a motorcycle collided with a battery-run easy-bike in Chunarg hat upazila of Habiganj on Friday.

The accident occurred around 5:30 PM in the Chandpur Tea Garden area, police said.

One of the deceased was identified as Mozahid, a resident of Holholia village under Paikpara Union in Chun arghat. The identities of the other deceased and the injured could not be confirmed immediately.

Chun arghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Saiful Islam confirmed the deaths.

He said legal proceedings over the accident were underway and police were trying to identify the other deceased and the injured.

Locals said the two victims had gone to the Chandpur Tea Garden area on the motorcycle. The motorcycle collided with a battery-run easy-bike while they were returning.

Police recovered the bodies from the scene after being informed of the accident.
