July Charter needs constitutional changes: State minister

State Minister for Public Administration and Food Md Abdul Bari has said the July Charter cannot be implemented without amending the Constitution.

“The government is determined to implement the July Charter in full. A committee has been formed to amend the Constitution, and the opposition has been invited to join it,” he said.

He made the remarks at a reception for SSC GPA-5 achievers at Harimohan Government High School in Chapainawabganj on Saturday.

Bari urged the opposition to join the parliamentary committee and said the government is committed to building a democratic society and ensuring transparency, accountability and the rule of law.
