DMP reshuffles police officials following attack on Mirpur health center

DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmad issued the transfer order on Sunday (September 27), which also reassigned four other police inspectors across different stations.

According to the order, Mirpur Model Station Inspector (Investigation) Md Rajib Hossain was posted as the OC of Shah Ali Police Station, while Line-R Inspector Md Al-Amin was transferred as Inspector (Operations) at Cantonment Police Station.

Among other transfers, Cantonment Station Inspector (Operations) Subrata Debnath was moved to Uttarkhan, Mugda Station Inspector (Investigation) Shishir Kumar Karmakar to Sutrapur, and Line-R Inspector Md Mominul Islam was appointed to Mugda Station.

Earlier on September 26, former OC Jahangir Alam was closed to the DMP Central Reserve Office after police presence failed to prevent the vandalism and looting at the health facility.

Following a spot visit on Saturday afternoon, DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmad acknowledged potential negligence by law enforcement officers and formed a three-member investigation committee headed by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of the Darussalam zone to probe the incident.
