Rashed Khan, political assistant to the Prime Minister, has accused Jamaat-e-Islami of heating up the streets under the guise of labor protests while alleging that Awami League activists infiltrated the demonstrations to commit arson.
In a verified Facebook post on Monday (November 2), Khan questioned whether Jamaat could evade responsibility for the recent anarchy, citing a recent statement by the Jamaat Ameer during a long march threatening to dismantle government structures.
He stated that despite the government's sincere commitment to fulfilling the legitimate demands of garment workers, activists from Jamaat and the National Citizen Party (NCP) organized and brought general workers onto the streets on Sunday (November 1) across Mirpur, Ashulia, and Gazipur.
Khan alleged that Awami League terrorists subsequently disguised themselves as workers to set fire to police vehicles, pickups, and garment factories during the chaos.
Noting that several Awami League and Chhatra League members have already been arrested in connection with the arson incidents, the Prime Minister's aide questioned whether legal action should also be taken against the Jamaat Ameer for inciting arson violence.
He further warned that anti-state forces are executing a dangerous plan to destabilize Bangladesh ahead of December.
