Man hacked dead in M'singh

A man was hacked to death by miscreants at Shyampur Ghoshbari in Muktagacha upazila of Mymensingh district on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Rafiqul Islam, 35, son of Kashem Ali of the upazila.

According to sources, a group of miscreants stormed into the house of Shafiqul around 11:45 PM and stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him injured.

Later, he was taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Confirming the death, Mymensingh Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Md Abdullah Al Mamun said that police recovered the body and are working to identify those involved in the killing.
