A Dhaka court on Thursday placed Md Rubel Ahmed, an associate of prime accused shooter Faisal Karim Masud, on a six-day remand in connection with the murder of Shaheed Sharif Osman Bin Hadi.

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Jashita Islam passed the order after Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Assistant Superintendent of Police Abdul Qadir Bhuiyan sought a 10-day remand for the accused.

Rubel was produced before the court earlier in the day, where state prosecutor Jamal Uddin Marjin argued in favour of the remand.

No defence lawyer represented the accused during the hearing.

Rubel was arrested on Wednesday night (January 21) from his residence at Keraniganj area of the capital.
