SSC examinee found hanging in Barguna

An SSC examinee was found hanging inside his house in Taltali upazila of Barguna district on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Swadhin Das, 16, son of Prodip Das, a resident of Taltali Para village in the upazila.

According to family sources, Swadhin’s grandmother went to the house around 4:45 PM and called out to him several times.

Receiving no response, she forced the door open with a stick and found Swadhin hanging from the ceiling.

Family suspects that Swadhin’s personal matter caused him mental distress, which led him to this consequence.

Later, locals rushed to the spot and informed police.

Taltali Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Asadur Rahman confirmed the incident and said that the body has been sent to Barguna General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Further investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of death and legal procedures are underway, added the OC.
