3 held with hemp in Kurigram

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-13) arrested three alleged drug peddlers along with hemp from Chilmari police station area of Kurigram district early Saturday. 

The arrested were identified as Md Ismail Hossain, 25, from Santosh village and Md Nabir Ali, 45, from Nalua village under Shahjadpur police station of Sirajganj district and Md Azizul Haque, 35, from Anontapur village under Phulbari police station area of Kurigram district. 

Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB officials conducted a drive in the Matikata Mour area at around 2:50 AM, searched a truck and arrested the trio along with 15.6 kg of hemp from their possessions.
   
RAB-13 confirmed the incident through a press release and said that the arrested, along with the seized items, were handed over to Chilmari police station after filing a case against them under the Narcotics Control Act.
