Magura observes National Library Day

National Library Day 2026 was celebrated in Magura district on Thursday, with a colourful rally, discussion session and prize distribution under the theme “Knowledge is Liberation, the Foundation of the Future.”

The program, organised by the District Administration and Magura District Government Public Library, featured speeches by officials and educators highlighting the importance of reading and public library engagement for the younger generation.

Prizes were awarded to winners of various competitions, while students, guardians and local officials joined the rally through the town’s main streets.

The event aimed to promote reading habits and emphasise the role of libraries in building an informed and enlightened society.
