3 injured in crude bomb attack at Gopalganj

Three, including two Ansar members and a child, were injured in a crude bomb attack at a polling centre in Gopalganj on Thursday morning.

The incident took place at around 9:00 AM at Reshma International School polling centre in the Nichuparra area of the town.

The injured were identified as Ansar members Sukanta Majumdar and Jamal Molla and Amena Khanom, 13, daughter of Ashraf Ali Mishu, a resident of Arambagh area of the town.

Confirming the incident, Reshma International School presiding officer Jahirul Islam said that voting at the centre continued normally after the incident.

He also added that a total of 198 votes were cast at the centre within the first two hours of polling.
