Motorcyclist killed in Sirajganj road crash

A motorcyclist was killed in a road crash in Shahjadpur upazila of Sirajganj district on Thursday morning.

The deceased was identified as Hridoy Hossain, 30, son of Md Dulal Hossain of Mamurshahi village under Sherpur Police Station area in Bogura district.

According to police, the incident occurred in the Madla area of Shahjadpur along the Bogura–Nagarbari Highway on Thursday. Hridoy was riding his motorcycle from Bogura to his in-laws’ house in Bera upazila of Pabna when it collided head-on with a truck, leaving him dead on the spot.

Hatikumrul Highway Police Station sub-inspector (SI) Md Shahinur Rahman confirmed the death and said that the truck driver fled the scene with the vehicle following the incident.

The victim’s body was later handed over to his family and a case has been filed in connection with the incident.
