At Barabazar fish market, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sumaiya Jahan Jhurka fined a seller Tk 5,000 under Section 5(1) of the Fisheries Protection and Conservation Act, 1950 for selling jatka fish. A total of 11.2 kg of jatka was seized and later distributed to a government children's orphanage through the Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer.
