Motorcyclist killed in Cox's Bazar road accident

COX'S BAZAR, Mar 1: A motorcyclist was killed and another person injured in a head-on collision between a jeep and a motorcycle on Marine Drive in Cox's Bazar on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Md Oliullah, 38, son of Ali Mia of Nayapara village under Sabran Union in Teknaf Upazila. He was a land trader by profession and had previously worked as a madrasa teacher for several years at the beginning of his career.
Upon being informed, police rushed to the scene and rescued the victims, taking them to Cox's Bazar General Hospital.
Himchhari Police Outpost in-charge Sub-Inspector (SI) Prabhakar Barua confirmed the incident and said both vehicles involved in the crash have been seized.
